Contracting Franchisor and Franchisees Find Value in Fixxbook Private Network

By Eric Schechter

The Dwyer Group, a franchisor made up of 7 individual contracting brands, is now using Fixxbook Private Network service. This means that all of their individual company owners will have a profile on Fixxbook; and all will roll up into the main network called Dwyer Services.

Eric Schechter of www.fixxbook.com talks about the Dwyer Group and it is now using Fixbook Private Network service.Dwyer Services are made up of independent business owners, with repair and maintenance-type companies (they own):

  • Aire Serv
  • Glass Doctor
  • Grounds Guys
  • Mr. Appliance
  • The Mr. Electric brand
  • The Mr. Rooter brand
  • Rainbow International

For Dwyer – a Fixxbook PN enables them to provide all of their franchisees with equal exposure to new business opportunities, as well as centralize management of franchisee credentials and business information. Dwyer can also attract the independent contractors who may want to become a franchisee.

How can you get involved with Dwyer? As an individual, you could buy a Mr. Rooter franchise, or convert your business to a Mr. Rooter. You keep all of your existing clients, and now you get all of the benefits of being a franchisee of Mr. Rooter: All their knowledge; all of their support; plus now you’re part of this national pool. So if a retailer says, “I want to use Mr. Rooter in all my locations,” you get new business just from being part of Mr. Rooter.

What’s really unique about this, is contractors are able to provide a very large footprint of service coverage, similar to a national account even when retailers want service done by a local, independent businessman. So, the local restaurant or retail store is dealing with and doing business with the local electrician or the local plumber in their neighborhood.
